Today in comparison to my other weekends, was really nothing all that significant. But when I woke up and went to the store, I had another “fuck yeah I’m living in London” moments. There was nothing in particular that produced these thoughts this morning, it was just a general appreciation. So I decided to go out and buy a new camera. Usually I’ll find justifications for me spending so much money: “I haven’t bought anything for myself in a while.” “I’ve been working hard, I deserve it.” “I really desperately need this.” Etc, you catch my drift. I had however only just purchased my plane tickets to Morocco the night before, I’ve been procrastinating planning to no end and I don’t desperately need a new camera, I simply wanted it. So I thought fuck it, I’m not going to justify it, I’m just going to get it. So that’s what I did.
Then as I walked back home with my new purchase, in true London style, the ever present dull grey blanket of clouds that sits constantly over England opened up and it pissed down rain. My latest tactic in conquering the annoying rain is to simply pretend it doesn’t exist. So I let myself be soaked, not letting it dampen my mood (pun intended), I spent the week chillaxing with mates, I’d accomplished some of the planning I set myself, I splurged on a new camera, best mate is back in town tomorrow and to top it all off, as I opened the door to my room, the most incredible sunset was just outside my window. It was clearly a sign…a sign for me to use my new camera. And so I did. These photos of the sunset from my window, are from just another day in London town. Enjoy.
